Professional contractors prefer to use Polyken® and Barricade® flashing tapes for reliable long-term weatherproofing that protects buildings from air and water infiltration around windows and doors, roof areas, skylights and more. All of our flashing products have been tested for compliance with ICC AC148 and AAMA 711 Test Criteria for Flashing Materials. Used as in conjunction with building envelope weatherization products such as Barricade® Housewrap, ThermoPly® structural sheathing and Barricade® seam tape, Polyken® and Barricade® brand flashing tapes ensure long term thermal and moisture protection.

Barricade® OptiFlash™

Barricade® OptiFlash™ uses a unique butyl rubber formulation designed for exceptional cold weather adhesion. The adhesive is coated onto a woven polyolefin facer that conforms to uneven surfaces making it easy to flash flanged windows. Barricade® OptiFlash™ is compatible with all commonly used caulking types including butyl rubber, urethane, silicone, and acrylic latex. Barricade® OptiFlash™ provides a strong bond to building materials including plywood, OSB, house wrap, concrete, and most metals at 0°F and maintains structural integrity up to 150°F.

Barricade® Contour

Barricade® Contour offers a durable, stretchable polymeric film facer that conforms to the curves of arched windows, round top doors and reduces the time needed to flash window sills. Contour is coated with a high performance butyl rubber formulation suitable for installation in most weather conditions (30°F – 200°F). Available in white, Contour comes in 6” and 8” widths at 75-foot lengths.

Polyken® Shadowlastic™ uses a high performance butyl rubber formulation originally designed to wrap oil and gas pipelines in the most challenging extreme-weather applications. The Shadowlastic™ adhesive has been used for over 25 years in exterior weatherproofing applications and offers superior adhesion in most weather conditions (30°F – 200°F). Polyken® Shadowlastic™ is compatible with all commonly used caulking types including butyl rubber, urethane, silicone, and acrylic latex. Polyken® Shadowlastic™ has been providing protection from wind-driven rain and air leaks in window and roof flashing applications including:
