Making changes today for a better tomorrow is part of an on-going process at Berry Plastics. In keeping with our corporate-wide initiative to reduce environmental impact, Berry is pleased to announce that Nashua® and Polyken® brand HVAC foil tape products will no longer be produced with a bleached disposable liner.
Starting in 2010 Polyken® and Nashua® foil tapes will have a new, more natural and environmentally conscious unbleached paper liner. The bleached paper liner that has historically been used will be discontinued. This simple change, which does not affect the performance of the foil tape, will result in an environmental gain for better air quality.
The release liner will continue to function as it always has. The only difference will be visual. The color of the disposable liner (see image) used within the foil roll will have a more natural brown color and not a white hue. The cores used for the foil tapes will continue to be made from 100% recycled materials. By eliminating high VOC adhesives and reducing emissions, Berry Plastics continues its commitment to be a responsible partner with you and the environment.
